Thirteen projects across 12 islands are sharing £3 million through the Scottish Government’s 2026 - 27 Islands Programme Fund to improve access to essential services and help communities build a more resilient future.

From new community hubs on Skye and a permanent veterinary facility on Tiree, to enhanced training facilities at UHI Scalloway and a £600,000 investment in Grimsay Heritage Centre, each project is rooted in local priorities and designed to support people to live, work and thrive on our islands.

As the organisation managing the Islands Programme on behalf of The Scottish Government, we’re proud to support the delivery of these ambitious projects and the communities behind them.
